In my 2025 AI Journal article, I explored how adaptive curriculum can ‘learn back’ from every student. By modeling real-time signals—not averages—AI personalizes instruction, supports neurodiverse learners, and frees teachers to focus on what matters most: human connection.

At SITE 2011, I introduced CILT, an adaptive intelligent tutor for Chinese. Using linguistic pedagogy and a knowledge-model architecture, CILT adjusts lessons on the fly—helping learners build vocabulary, grammar, reading, and writing skills through tailored, data-driven practice.
